Ball joints on Sylva Striker

I bought a Striker about a month ago & it looks like it has modified Escort front uprights, anyone know what the upper & lower ball joints are from the car is a 2002 model with adjustable bottom ball joints for camber adjustment.

If it's an escort or Capri stub axle they should be metro ball joints there are 2 taper sizes though .

Can you add some photos?

Might help people to see what you have.

Hi,

My Phoenix with an Escort upright uses a Sherpa van track rod end, part No QR1774 RH, both sides use the right hand thread whereas the van has a 1 LH and 1 RH. I had to cut mine down as the thread was too long. Make sure that the upright has been relieved to stop it from pinching and destroying the rubber. Mine had not been relieved and both rubbers were damaged but no problems since relieving.

Check out this thread on the JPSC site:

Regards,

Martin
