Engine age iva

100% clarification sought, I’m applying for Iva soon however I’m just checking whether Mr Iva will be happy using donor log book as engine age confirmation or will I need a letter from Mazda?
Donor Mazda Mx5 1.8 1999

my advice would be to ask the station your going to for your test. Each test station seems to vary as to what they will and wont accept

That may prove difficult as the test centres don’t have direct numbers anymore so I’m led to believe?

If it's post 95 it won't really matter will it as you'll be subjected to a cat test anyway? It's been a while since I checked the flow diagram in the manual so don't quote me on it.

true. If the centre is not too far away then pay them a visit

I was asked to prove engine age and as it was 1998 (CAT test) the tester was happy to use the donor V5 as proof but if I had an engine pre cat test then I think a letter from Mazda would have been required as well
