wtd: Des Hamill Rover V8 Book?
coozer - 12/8/14 at 12:58 PM

Reading irony v8 thread and now looking at a rebuild of my rover v8 would like some literature to read.

Anyone got a copy they want shot of?

Or, any other good v8 books recommended?

Thanks,
Steve

If you have built engines before then this won't help much but I really recommend the box wrench engine building videosBoxWrench Basic Engine Building DVD Learn Motor Rebuild

Really basic but if you haven't done it before then the videos are awesome. I gave my copy to Scudderfish on here. Message him if your interested.

Looking for something to give me an insight to the engine really.

Rebuilding is no mystery to me but some info and an interesting read while I'm sitting on the loading bay for hours on end

Steve I am away from home at moment but I think it could be down loaded from one of those dodgey sounding but valuable russian style websites- sipiicooskou or something like that which had Haynes manuals, factory workshop manuals for rs 2000 etc. Worth a hunt

I have mint copy of tuning rover v8 engines by David Hardcastle, a used one is on eBay for £50 :0 how does £10 sound?

Some of Des Hammil's book is available here .

You will find that it's out of print and prices for used copes are astronomical! Good book though f you can get it.

Hardcastle's book is good but not as in depth as Des and it deals with the 3.5/3.9 prior to the later 4.0/4.6.
