Afternoon all.

Just after some advice on car rust repairs.
I have some small patches around finger nail size that need attention.
What make of primer and lacquer is best. Should I use a rust converter.
Any advice and tips appreciated.

Brad.

Yip use a rust remover and get all traces removed. Don't use Kurust, it's utter rubbish.

As for painting, one golden rule... only use paint from the one supplier, i.e. if you use Halfords paints, use only Halfords paints, primer, base and lacquer. Don't mix brands at all or you'll risk a reaction even if they claim to be compatible or "universal"

and wear a mask

No connection, but have a look at a company called Buzzweld - they offer coatings that have rust inhibitors/converters and paint all in one. Craig Jones is the guy that runs it, and is quite knowledgeable!

I've used POR15 to treat rust in the past, very good product but I'm told by the guy who repainted my Supra that Rust Bullet is considered to be better than POR15.
