Letter and number punches

Does anybody in the southampton area have a set i could borrow to do my VIN number?

Is it worth borrowing them? They're < £10 a set (including postage) and postage will be 5 of them... by the time you've either driven there or back it's a bit borderline whether it's worth it....

Don't forget you need bigger or equal to 5mm stamps. Screwfix do 4mm stamps (I know cos I used them, luckily SVA man didn't notice).

Just be very careful what part you decide to stamp and make sure it is very well supported when you strike the blows because it is very hard to stamp 1.6 wall thickness RHS without collapsing the tube.In the end I had to stamp a piece of steel and then weld it on to a tube.
