1.6 Zetec SE rod bolts and valve springs

I have got a 1.6 Zetec SE which has been fitted with Shawspeed SS4 cams, however the previous owner did not bother to fit the HD rod bolts and HD springs so revs are limited and therefore the full potential of the cams are not being used.

Before I throw beer tokens at Shawspeed for the rod bolts and valve springs does anyone know of alternatives that I should look at first.

Out of interest I am also converting a pair of DHLA40 twin carbs to throttle bodies. I have removed the choke and Venturi, taken out the locating pins and had some 40mm bore sleeves machined up, these will sit on o-rings at the engine end held in by the trumpets. Quick question, do I need to remove/block anything else and will the bleed screws still work for fine balancing (will try and test later today). Will post pictures if anyone is interested, I wanted to keep the classic look in my anglia but use modern injection/spark (emerald K6).

Thanks in advance.
