petroldiaries - 27/12/17 at 10:40 AM

I've now started getting down and dirty with the Westfield SEi restoration, so I've added another episode below.

CosKev3,
I listened to you when you asked for more footage of actual work on the car and less of me;o) I hope I’ve delivered;o)

Hope you're all having a great Christmas

Ha ha don't listen to me!!!!

I'm just grumpy as I've got three daughters that live in youtube/vlogger land!!!!

Watched the video,very good!

I would consider adding some small circa 3-4mm holes in the corners of the alloy floor panels for drainage if there are non present now.

Nice project that

Did a similar thing a few years ago to a SEIW with a Ford Zetec fitted

Take plenty of photographs & Notes of anything that you might not be sure of (makes it a lot easier when it goes back together)

Definitely check the condition of the shocks if its still on the original era Spax's

Nice to see its fitted with an XE, My personal favorite

Be aware that the standard single roll over bar is great for pushing the car into the garage, but don't rely on it if you ever happen to roll it
(Try and source a RAC type roll bar if you can)

Any questions or queries just ask away, Plenty of helpful folk on here

I do have a question? When I bought the car he threw in six spare wolf race wheels and tyres, and was adamant the car handles better without the low profile ones, just wondered if anyone has a view?

Will probably put the redundant set up for sale eventually.

Yeah they handle and drive much nicer on smaller wheels with higher sidewalled tyres

Cheers mate, I might get these wolf race wheels all polished up then....Thanks for taking the time to reply!!

I think smaller wheels look better too, suite the car better.

Downside if you go to 13 inch wheels tyres aren't as cheap as 15''s

They look like 17''s in your pic? The ride would be very harsh on those too

I’ll post my restore updates in this thread from now on to save creating a new topic each time.

Cheers for the tip coskev:0)
