Merc points

Folks, I'm looking at trading in the old 9-5 as she's started to mis-behave, 1 week after passing it's MOT. She's got intermittent low fuel rail pressure and after that started sulking with an engine oil leak!

Does anyone have experience of Mercedes 270 cdi E class? I've found one with close to 200K in my very limited budget.

I await your combined knowledge

ATB Dan.

Not sure if this helps or is even relavant? But my mate has a merc CLS with the 2.7d
Not sure if it's same lump but it's up on miles(probably around 200k) does a 140mile a day commute in absolute style and luxury! Very torquey, very quick, I find it quite refined too, and it's been bullet proof for him engine wise!
He did need a steering rack replacing which was mega expensive but other than that or servicing it's not needed anything! And it's good on juice

The Saab is a 3.0 V6 diesel, so same tax bracket. I'll try to get some TOIL time off next week and go see it.

Regards Dan.
