Took the car out for a test run (vid)

Went and found a really quiet industrial estate today for a test run to set up the brakes....So this is what the rear locking up first is like. Few more runs and the setup is now right, The DB killer accidently fell out (honestly it was accidental) then the turbo really came alive with the BOV making noises and everything and performance shot through the roof. no video though unfortunately

Think about it, think about it again and then do it.

Great milestone, I admire your ambition and persistence, good looking car.

I expect you will sort out the brake balance, panel gaps and I am not sure about the wing mirrors.

Colour? Mclaren orange, scooby blue, alfa red, my choice would be scooby catalunya black (metallic black with a red fleck, would go great with a burgundy interior).

Looks like you are in the home straight.

Brake balance is all sorted, it was actually one of the reasons for the test drive. Fronts now lock first.

The wing mirrors are purely for the IVA with no central mirror I had to ensure good visibility over the rear.

As for colour it will actually be Alfa red, I google search alfa cherry red, or the new Renault clio red as I've seen that in the flesh and looks really nice everytime I see it.

The test is booked so today I'll give a reccy over the car see if there is anything I need to worry about, then just finish the interior to pass the test.

Cool, good luck with the test. As for the wing mirrors, some of the that hang off the top front of the doors would look good I think, post iva mod maybe. You going for the solid alfa red or the one used on the 8c metallic?

Alfa Metallic, I'm moving more towards the Clio though because I've seen it in the flesh.
