car transporter thoughts
Am currently toying with the idea of buying a car transporter which could also double as a camper-van for family holidays. Ideally:
- not too big
- room for at least three people, a bit of luggage and a large 7 style car (say 12' by 6'
- ideally room to sleep in (but maybe this would make it too big?)
Something like a converted LWB van might work, but maybe a bit small, e.g. something like:

Has anyone got any suggestions/advice on this kind of thing?

What's the budget ?
When I was looking I quickly realised it was much cheaper to find something already done, you never get back what you put in financially.
Autograss guys seem to like and build this conversion, usually find them at the right price on their forums.

Thanks, yes had already twigged that there is probably a healthy market in buying used stuff from motorsport enthusiasts who have run out of money for
racing :-)
Budget - it looks like there is stuff that might suit in the £5-10k range which I think is doable.
Will check out the autograss forums, thanks.

I've been looking at transporters/trailers as the next step when I finish my build.
If you want to fit your GKD in there, forget having a panel van. They aren't wide enough, especially at the door frames. You'll need a
luton.
