Any engine as long as it's powerfull.
Budget is £5000.
I'm wanting a road car that is complete and can be driven away.
it's got to be very fast or for £5000 I may aswel buy a boxster s.

You will not get a top spec car for £5000. Look on eBay for an idea of prices for decent cars

Just being honest mate, you won't. You might be lucky. But they are 2 different things

Standing start I would smoke a boxter. Rolling start at 60mph it would be evens. Add stopping or a corner in the mix and again, I would have the upper hand.

For comparisons my car has 150bhp.

Track days ARE the best thing since sliced bread, until I get a supercharger that is!

I think you really need to do some research into kit cars before buying!!

130 bhp in a BEC is much different to 130 bhp in a CEC

All this talk of it 'must be quicker than a boxer s' makes you sound like your about 18?

A kit car needs to be respected,as they are so light and BHP per ton is massive compared to the engine BHP,they will and do bite nastily if you jump in one and drive it like a tin top
