i know this might have been covered before but i just wanted to double check a few things to save me making a mess of it.
its a 2001 zx12r model A by the way

1) when defeting the interlocks is it pin 20 or 24 i connect to earth?

2) when immobilising the 'bike down switch' can i simply un-plug it?
or do i have to leave it connected and either remove the pendulum from it or areldite it in place?

thanks, any advice is appreciated
Danny

thanks for your reply.
ive seen that before but i dont trust myself much when it comes to reading drawings.

looking at the drawings i have, (cheap one from ebay) i think i should earth pin 24 which is called 'detect interlock function for engine stops' its dark green.
but i read a write up that said to earth the light green wire pin 20. which on my drawing is called 'detect the neutral postion signal'

the pic on your link suggests pin 24 aswell.
is this what everyone else has done?

I don't think they all run to the same pin, i jus set them all to earth at the business end. For the tilt switch you can actually leave it in place a long a battery tray is upright, that way if you roll you get some protection. Failing that just take the switch rotating thingy out, that ought to save a gram or two. That's what i did.

If you do a search for posts by me which have zx12r wiring diagran inn them there's a really clear copy of the wiing diagram there somewhere (would find it for you but i'm on my phone)
