Autocad 2008 question - HELP !
Andybarbet - 11/12/14 at 09:08 AM

Hi,

At work I am currently trying to set up an A1 or A0 sized layout for a drawing in autocad.

Up until now, we have only had the need to print A3 which was all set up before I started working here, we have set up an A0 sized blue outline with with the company name, disclaimers etc but as you can see from the attached photo, the white paper background is in the bottom left hand corner & is tiny.

I need to enlarge this so that it covers the whole A0 blue drawing frame/surround.

Does anyone know how to do this in idiot guide terms ??

If I print or pdf using the A3 surround on a larger paper size, it will enlarge to the required paper size but I lose all detail so I really need it in A0 or A1.

I need to get this drawing off quick sharp to a customer but this silly issue is holding things up.

Cheers - Andy

go to plot
select the correct page size, apply to layout - cancel.

Move the curser over the layout tab and right click.
There should be a menu pop up.
Select page set-up manager.
A dialogue box will now show all the layout tabs you have and the tab you just selected should be be highlighted, if not then select it.
Click the modify button.
The page setup window is now open and you can change the setting for the paper size and how its centred etc.
With some plotter drivers you need to select the oversized paper size option.
When done click OK to return to the dialoge box where you can select other layouts to modify.
Click close if you are done.
Good luck.

Guys, you have just saved me today.

I thought it should be relatively easy but im between myself & my boss we were hitting a brick wall.

Too many long days on one big project I think.

Thanks so much, I can sleep tonight now.
