Creating a Spotify playlist?

Hi All,

Possibly a numpty question, but I have an Essential Mix CD from 1994 by Snap, cost me £3 on eBay and takes me back to Uni years when I was big into clubbing and the like. I have ripped the CD using Media Monkey, which rips it as individual tracks even though it's a mix. I'm also a Spotify subscriber and use it all the time on my Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini phone (not being able to drive at present I spend a fair proportion of my life walking and on the bus or train and need some music to stave off the boredom).

Now my question to the collective is this...is there a way to move the ripped MP3 tracks onto the phone and use them to create a Spotify playlist I can listen to?

I'm sure there is a way, but I just don't know what it is!

Not sure about Spotify, but why not simply copy the tracks to your phone via USB and use Google Play Music app to play them. Can create a playlist in that.

Oh, that Essential Mix sounds pretty good too. Is it this one? https://www.mixcloud.com/DJ_Mix/snap-essential-mix-1994-01-01/

You can use playlists in spotify, are all of the tracks already on spotify, if so just make a list from there.

On my Iphone app it has a "your library" menu (bottom right of screen) which has a default playlist of songs on your phone (local files) also custom playlists can be built from spotify tracks. To do this, in the "your library" hit the "edit" button on the top right and then the + sign to start a new playlist. Search for the songs and add to the playlist (circle with three dots symbol by the song title + add to playlist option, choose you new playlist). I think you can add to a playlist from your local downloaded files as well.

Hope this helps.

Just found the Google music app so may have a go with that.

The mix isn't the one on your link, but this one - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_p9oCQAgDs
