Rough cost of laser cutting
I'm planning a project that would need some 1mm stainless steel plates laser cut. 180 of them. About 120mm x 30mm, one end rounded and 2 bolt
holes. Is there a way to estimate the cost? For example, £45 per hour for the cutting machine with a laser speed of 5cm per second, plus the 0.7m2
of stainless sheet.

Too cheap to worry about. I had some fancy shaped plates cut out of mild steel x 3 mm. Couldnt believe my luck when he said, 30 pence each..

Each place will calculate slightly differently, including whether they have stock material and how well they can tesalate the parts. Always easiest
to submit a drawing and get them to quote.

Just send them a drawing and they will give you a price. They all charge different so why do it any other way?

I want a guide price to see if I want to go ahead before I get quotes. If they're going to be tens of pennies each that'll be fine.

As a measure 8 plates 1.5mm, mild steel £1.5 each. 108mm diameter outside, inside 60mm ish.
