Quickfile invoicing, accounting software

Is anyone on here using Quickfile? It appears to be free, I assume paid for by adverts, can you pay & have ads turned off? Seems to have very good write ups & been around a while now, just looks a little too good to be true & that always makes me uncomfortable!
Any info appreciated!

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/furoreproducts/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1

I have used Money Manager from Moneysoft for over ten years.

So simple to use, totally uncomplicated, printouts and analysis are perfect, costs peanuts: AND works.

Try the free trials.

Hi Russ

We've been using it for over a year. Apart from a problem where they deleted all the scanned receipts (which they have now resolved and have a backup too) we've found it really good. Our accountant is happy with it too so that has to be good.

There are no adverts but there are bolt ons that you can pay for I think but we don't use any! You can do bank reconciling etc..

My wife does most of the accounting now so it must be simple to use :-)

Regards

Wyn

Thanks for that, just what I wanted to hear! No way I would use Sage, used their software some years back & found it horribly complex - they seemed to want to turn you into an accountant - I already have one of those!

You mention them deleting scanned receipts - do you have the ability to take your own backups or is it all "on the cloud" & you don't have that direct access?

"My wife does most of the accounting now so it must be simple to use :-)" - You're a brave man, best hope she doesn't see that!!

Cheers Russ

Hi Russ

My wife doesn't come on here!

You scan the receipts, save them in a specific drop box folder and they are automatically inputted into your accounts. You then go online and tag each receipt - pretty easy! Their system then saves a copy of the receipt in a different dropbox folder (this is the step they've introduced before their hiccough!).

We're a relatively small business but this seems to work really well and it is free!

Regards

Wyn

I assume if you just want to use it for invoicing you can do that without any need for scanning anything in etc?

Yep. We don't invoice at all and mostly use it for logging our purchases (doesn't look good from a business perspective!).

It's worth registering just to try it out.

I use an online system called Xero, which for me as a single employee business predominantly selling on ebay with lots and lots of transaction, it's great. You can put auto feeds from numerous bank and paypal accounts which also makes life easier as you dont have to enter everything manually.
