Where to buy PC components
Hi All,
Its been 10+ years since i built a PC. Where is a good online place to buy components nowadays?
I used to use dabs.com all the time, but now its part of BT and doesn't seem anywhere near as good

All the parts for my last build came from Amazon - prices were competitive, although not always the cheapest. I liked the idea that I had just 1
point of contact in case of dispute.

+1 for ebuyer, Ebay can be good, but you do need to check spec carefully there is some proper dross on there!
I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator
headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names
furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours.

Scan.co.uk - as cheap as anywhere else online.
Based in Bolton (near the Macron stadium), with a great shop and super helpful staff.
I was thinking of getting my stuff online, but it's only 45 mins from Lancaster (where I live too!) and I'm glad I went. Very reasonable
prices.
It was really useful to have a look at the case I wanted, and the person assisting me even looked at the return rate of some of the components to make
sure I got the most reliable brand.
P. S. You've the diesel MEV right? I think we've met on the Westfield runs out!

All depends on what you want to use it for. I used to chase technology, spend loads on stuff I didn't really need. Started with a pentium P75,
told you it was long ago
At the moment I'm using a Dell Otiplex 380, bought for £20 on ebay minus hard drive and screen ect. Put my sata drive in (160gb) and fired it
up. Added a usb 750gb external in a caddy and that does everything I need. Internet, print, scan.
I have been using it for 2 years now and if it goes tits up, I'll get another.

I've used www.aria.co.uk for a number of items.
Don't use them for "clean pull" disks though!
