I too ordered a ticket (yesterday).

All we need (now) is a good day of weather, presuming (of course) that the assemblage of Lancasters proceeds without hiccups.

I have a very fond memory of building a very large Airfix model of the Lancaster during my childhood. A long time ago, it was at a time when such things were very much a luxury.... really sticks.

Fair play, I don't think they could have done much else really

CANCELLATION

LINCOLNSHIRE AVIATION HERITAGE CENTRE

3Lancasters - 2nd Sept 2014- Cancellation

We are very sorry to say that we have just been contacted by the Canadian Warplane Heritage and the BBMF with the sad news that they have had to cancel the flypasts on the 2nd September due to the engine problems with FM213 Vera.

The Centre will still be open and the ground activities will still be on. Your admission tickets will still be honoured on the 2nd September 2014 and we will be trying our best to arrange another date for the evenT (your ticket will also be valid on the replacement date)

The Lincs Aviation Heritage Centre is very sad to offer this news but there is sadly nothing we can do as the cancellation is due to aircraft serviceabillty.

You will be more than welcome at the Centre on the 2nd Sept 2014 and we will do our best to arrange a replacement date. We will contact you by email when we know another date (the tickets for 2nd Sept will not be valid on the 7th Sept).

Vera let DTVA on Wednesday and the 3 Lancaster event at East Kirby has been re-arranged for the 14th. Unfortunately I didn't get a ticket.

However, (please keep this quiet as we don't want everyone to know

), me and a mate are driving over to the Lakes to watch the 2 Lancasters fly the length of Lake Windermere.
