don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

What's the dome made out of?

How did you get it to stay in shape?

How long do you think it will last?

I drive therefore I am.

Very jealous. I had a pile of bricks waiting to be turned into a pizza oven, but never pulled my finger out to make it. On the list for the next house! Enjoy the pizza!

The setts were cheaper than the firebricks at £135. It's cost about 300 total so not locost at all.
It's made of two layers each about 4 inches thick. The inner is adobe 33% clay mixed with sand, the outer is cob which is adobe with straw added.
You build the whole thing on a sand dome, let it dry a bit then cut the door then pull out the sand. Then fire it for 8 hours or so to harden it.
Once lime rendered and finished it should last a long time as it sets like concrete as it gets over 400c internally supposedly.
I'll post some more pictures when I get a chance
Pete
