Recommendations for getting ally plate cut and folded

Hi,

I am wanting to get a simple aluminium cooker guard to stop little missy burning herself. It’s very simple just a 150mm x 1000mmx 3mm plate with a folder 20mm 90deg flange along the bottom to let me screw it to the worktop.

Is the anywhere online I can order this make?

Thanks, Scott

any sheet metal workshop or sheet metal stockholder should be able to sort that out for you - the smaller local places will probably be the cheapest though

Thanks but none of those ones were really what I wanted tbh, either would not fit my hob or were too low or not wide enough

There's a few metal work places in town unfortunately they are very difficult to get to during work hours, hence I was looking for an online alternative

you could probably bend it yourself with some bits of heavy angle to clamp it and just tap the edge over a bit at a time...

We bought a stainless one from Ikea. It was adjustable for width and cost around £6

Not poo pooing the idea, but after 3 kids and a total of 9 nieces and nephews we've not had any burn incidents from cooker, hob or kettle etc. They do listen and learn very fast.
