Caliper overhaul - help...
So at the last MOT the tester advised one of the Lav's front calipers was "grabbing".
Found that strange and niggling as it hadn't done many (read any) miles since I re-built them.
Finally got round to stripping them out to discover that the anodised ali has small amounts of corrosion in the seal groove.
Presumably this expands the groove causing the seal to grab the piston.
So the question is this - can I scrape the corrosion off, grease the groove (brake grease?) and re-assemble or should I apply spray paint (or
something else) to the affected area?
If the later what - bearing in mind it's likely to come into contact with traces of brake fluid?

I'd scrape out the grove and rebuild with caliper-gease or red-rubber grease. Don't paint it as brake fluid will just strip it off and
cause problems.

As above, avoid adding paint, it will make it worse!

If he seals get even a slight amount of mineral oil contamination they harden and stick to the pistons.
I would venture the seals been contaminated with WD40 or similar.
