Back at work today

After a miserable week last week (https://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/viewthread.php?tid=207546) I'm back at work today. I realised fairly quickly that I'm too young to be retired (and broken ribs bloody hurt).

Being back at work is a little refreshing with different parts of the brain being exercised and a little more activity around me too. I fully admire SWMBO's ability to keep me "at ease soldier", but not being watched quite so much has it's benefits

The worst thing about broken ribs is that there's not much you can do about them, medically speaking. The hospital will check that the broken ends aren't poking somewhere they shouldn't and causing damage, then they'll pack you off with painkillers and tell you to behave yourself for 6 weeks.

Indeed! I was told broken arms and legs get casts and (as you say) ribs get painkillers and instructions to behave!

Uncomfortable for sure, but bearable and best getting on with it really.
