Any thoughts on the Vicki Green wiring looms compared with others?

Thanks

Colin

Used to have a bad rep. Didn't think they were still around.

Premier loom is better

I've just bought a loom for my Dax Rush from Richard at Rapidfit Looms. Lovely quality product and well priced. And he made a few modifications that I requested at no additional cost.....

i bought a pinto VG loom and ended up taking it apart it was that poor

Premier all the way!well crafted simple to fit and telephone number for any queries.
Had a couple of VG looms that came in with various projects in the past quality looked OK compared to the 30 year old Ford loom remnants. I think they were popular with Hoodies where a few glitches were well known including wiring for different column switches etc the big selling point was an A0 sized poster with a plan showing every coloured wire linked to every component. There's prob still lots of info on Rhocar site if you do a search.

The big A0 PDF can be found in this thread if needed, pretty sure I included the mods too. Cheers Rich Linky

The thread is from 2006 doesn't time fly

Thanks guys, I am sure Premier are good.

Reason for the query, I just bought an MK Indy loom on the bay, and it turns out to be a Vicki Green loom for a Robin Hood.

I have never seen such a wee poor professionally made loom!!

No terminals, no relays or fuses, taped together with insulation tape, not looming tape, and from what I hear with mistakes already built in!!!

I recently bought another loom for another car, and that was brilliant. Unfortunately I dont know who made it

I also purchased a pinto loom from MK for my indy r as previously mentioned these must have been purchased as old stock from robin hood as they have been out of production for some time. Throw it away and build your own using the CBS wiring module

I have fitted a vg loom to my seven and must admit i have struggled but think i would have struggled with premier loom ! Taking into account that most of these looms must be over ten years old and for the lower cost end of the kit car market, I don,t think that they are bad just an older model. that said i am still wrestling with mine so reserve a final judgement till its finished!
