Aren't these engines *really* wide?

Very convenient, but I bet they won't let you take it in hand luggage

Boxer engines are wide but low height so should have good ground clearance and not stick out of the bonnet.
Great lump if you can accomodate the width!

I reckon the only flat 6 you'd fit under a Locost bonnet would be a Honda Goldwing engine, even then it looks very wide

I wouldn't put the SVX donk in anything. It's an orphan. The motor in the H6 variant of the liberty/legacy is different in significant ways. In addition to that, these came from a car that was auto only so you'll have to try and mate it up to a flywheel/clutch/gearbox. Too much stuffing about, that's why the current owner scrapped the project maybe?

It can be done though. Kaspa - another member on this forum is looking at using it right now :- http://www.oz-clubbies.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=7888

If you are building a middy, a mate of mine (parallel designs) uses a twin turbo audi V6 in his Muira replicas.

A boxer engine is W-----I------D------E!!!! (if at least not very tall or long)

Locost engine bays are quite narrow and long...

I'd say that's a whole lot of struggling coming up...

Or you'd end up with a Locost with an appearance like

with half the engine stick out of the sides...
