What media player are you streaming it to? Can it cope with HD quality films? It could be possible it is the media player? And in what format are the HD films? I stream HD films using a dinosaur NAS drive (as in old, not the brand!).

How have you connected the NAS to the media player?

wifi or wired network...?

Oops, missed the homeplugs - should be easily fast enough!

Homeplugs are in theory fast enough, but I found them far from stable enough to stream hd video. However, it's a simple enough proof, temporarily connect them via ethernet and retry the same video. If it skips, then you know where the problem is.

how many homeplugs are on the network and whats the distance it covers, as performance of homeplugs are depandant on distance and interfferences (mcb's, lightning protection, etc...)
