Zetec Sensor help

Hi,

Does anyone know what this sensor location picks up (seems to be oil) and what thread it is? Its not the same thread as the oil sensors the inlet side of the block, want to see if I can use it for Oil Temp? Zetec Blacktop engine...

Cheers,
James

I think that is for the Crank locking pin, used when changing cam belts / cheking valve timing.

It is the hole for the Timing pin for the crankshaft position. I believe it is m8x1.25 thread.

Definately the crank TDC locking pin, you screw the pin in and it prevents the crank rotating clockwise past tdc.
