Not worth it. I got a set for free brand new from piper but still cost £300 in machine work to shim and fit them. Better off with standard cams

Thanks for taking the time to respond and bumping my add back to the top of the for sale list.

It was very thoughtfull of you to remind people that the head will need re-shimming etc to benift from the signifigant gains these camshafts potentialy offer.

I envy your powers of persuasion if you did indeed relieve Piper of £528 inc vat worth of product … good for you.

Good luck with your project.

As I said in a previous post the price is negotiable.

Swap for any of the following;

Pinto comp clutch.
Zetec rwd ex manifold.
Low ratio Sierra CWP or diff.
Twin cyl pedal box.
Sierra brakes.

I gained 5bhp. The cams were a freebie as part of a tuning guide for the st170 engine which never got published when piper saw the gains these were giving over the standard cams (we dyno ran the car on the same rollers before and after)

Sorry it doesn't help you sell these but I'd rather people saved the horrific cost of having the shimming etc done for such poor performance gains

Just found the exhaust side OBX vernier pulley, included in price.

Now £ 195.

Despite a cirtain member trying to kill my sale there is plenty of evidence that the ST170 with a decent head, throttle bodies etc will make around 200bhp.
