Yamaha Thunderace

Bought full bike to use the engine in my Haynes but I've decided I'm going to stick with the 2L zetec I've got in.

About 25k on the clock, most MOTs, serviced less than 1k miles ago. Hasn't been used for a couple of years. Put a new battery on it and started it up. Sounds good once warmed up but could probs do with some fresh petrol. A couple of plastics issues, scratches etc but nothing serious.

It stands me £550 so was looking to get that and I'll throw in the new battery free. Could be a cheap engine package for someone if they can be bothered to break it and Ebay the spares.

Bike is located in Hexham, Northumberland and I'm available most of the time if anyone wants a butchers.

The lad I bought it from paid less than that!! It is a lot of bike for that money and I did consider running it myself this summer but I sold my last bike Sep 2013 because I'd only done 150 miles in a year.

oh i had one of thoes was a good bike

never realy took off in the uk
its a 20v exup motor from a fzr1000 way more torque than the early r1's that replaced it and sidcar boys engine of choice at the time.

i had thort it would be a good trike doner as cheap and very powerful

if it was riden gently at run in will burn a little oil this is normal
