Zetec Valve Stem Oil Seal Removal

hi guys,

What do you use / tips, to remove valve stem oil seals on a 2.0l silver top Zetec?

I pulled a set out a Blacktop yesterday. I used a pair of valve stem pliers made by laser.

I had to grind a bit of so I could get them deeper

Where did you grind off, the handle bit?
Did they come out easy with the tool?

I can’t upload photos again.

But if you imagine needle nose pliers tapering and getting thicker. You need to take a little of the tapper to get them in deeper.

Very easy, took all 16 out in seconds. Grip and wiggle.

I also bought these when overhauling my zetec to replace the valve seals. They work a treat. Didn`t have to grind anything off mine though.
