Hi all i want to go to the fos. I have never been before so a few questions
Do they do different things on different daysive looked on there website but know info found
Would i get everything done in 1 day or would i be disapointted and need a weekend ticket but this will be alot
More expensive with hotels needed but is it worth it
Im sure ive forgotten some questions so expect more

You don't normally get full runs up the hill on Friday - some don't run at all on Friday over the two sessions.

We've been a few times a few years ago - Friday we spent looking round paddocks, Saturday watching practice runs and then normally watch Sunday morning runs and then last look round before sitting in traffic for 5-6 hours !!

If you try a B&B 45 mins or so away you'll find it's a bit cheaper and as long as you're up you won't get stuck in traffic on way in.

It's a brilliant weekend - weekend tickets are still cheaper than F1 and F1 cars look and sound better doing burnouts !!

Yes you can do it in a day get there when it opens and you will have a couple of hours before it gets v busy. Friday is alot quieter .I have been on a fri and sat prefer friday as the weekend its packed... It is an amazing event !

For looking at stuff Friday wins, less crowded so you can get much closer.
You will miss stuff like the Vulcan fly over, so see what extra's are on for Saturday and Sunday then make your choice.
It is worth buying a grandstand ticket for a decent view of the track.

Arrive early, you will queue in traffic for a long time getting in and out.

The car parks also have interesting stuff as well

There is no way you can see everything in one day!
It's amazing. You have to go.
I now spend nealy all day in the f1 paddock. It's by far my fave along with the super cars after their run.

I went most years until last year when I decided that £35 entry, £12 for a programme, £8 for a burger was all getting a bit of a rip-off.

And the amount of corporate hospitality marquees/stands and tents (yep wee heads spending too much time drinking and getting in the way) taking all the prime spots put me off. I bumped into a couple of idiots I used to work with there about 10 years ago while crossing the driveway to be asked where the track was!

I'll stick to Brighton Speed Trials - £10 entry, £2 programme, burger and chips with a decent mug of tea and a table and chairs for £3.50.

If you can get in for nowt or on the cheap it's brilliant, but the costs do taint it a bit.

Have a good time if you go (rally section is well worth the walk).
