Hello all, does anyone have experience of using the Triumph triple or four in a bec?
Looking at alternative engines for my new project.
Theres a triple being fitted out back to a Mk in my workshop
Triumph engine Locost frame hat would be a "Tricost" .......... or a Tritus [/d] .............
That weirdy 11ish thing I made a few years ago had a Daytona lump and what a luvvly jubbly noise those beasts make...oh and it's Bristish...
I built one using a Triumph Daytona lump... I am now moving to a ZX12 lump. the Trumpet sounded gloriuos, and pulled like a train. It was a mission to
get it setup, as no one had really done it before, but it is not a difficult engine to work with.
The limitation comes with top speed, as the gearing isn't ideal. With my 3.54 escort axle, I had a 110mph top speed (red line in 6th), but boy
did it feel good getting there! For road use that was fine, but on a fast track it was limiting...
