scrap shell

now ive stripped my donor car ive just got to try and get rid of the shell
ive taken the riveted chassis plate off and ive also cut out the chassis number
what do i need to do now regarding the dvla
and who will take the shell off my drive

You must get the chassis scrapped - I think any scrapyard can have it - and crush it.....

As far as the DVLA goes, you do nothing except ensure the 'car' is SORN'd.

This keeps the V5 happy and gives you a valid V5 for later when you want an age related plate.

If you inform DVLA it is scrapped, bye bye registration.....

You are recycling the vehicle so it is not scrapped :-)

i may of found someone to pick it up aswell not sure if he will give me anything for it or not though

take a couple of photos, and GET A RECEIPT! ie issue a receipt, and keep a copy, signed if possible

I cut the chassis number and plate off, advertised it on Gumtree and it went to a bloke for demolition racing car.

When I registered my car I gave the v5 in and that was in 2008.. Its still on the dvla enquiry...

I plan on delivering mine to the scrapyard in self-assembly form
