I am about to start filling in the paperwork to get my IVA booked... I still have a number of small jobs to do.... Have a look at the pictures and let me know if there are any glaring mistakes in need to correct....

I need to cover the top ball joints.
Lock the mushrooms in place
cover the rear seat belt mounts. (Anyone know if there is a Tin top that has covers to fit these?

I will add a few more pictures tomorrow.

Could be worth looking at:

Locknuts on steering arms are uncovered.
Front suspension bracket edges.

Dashboard switches need labels identifying their functions.

The switches have logos on them... do they still need labels?

Im no help as faras IVA because iman age away from that point but im really liking your centre console/arm rest/handbrake cover

how did you find setting up the rt dash2 ?

Rear of the naca duct looks too sharp.
Lambda bung looks like it won't meet the radius requirements.

I plan to wrap the exhaust up to the boss....

The Dash 2 was a superb buy in my opinion.. I bought it a while ago when they were not so established so I got it quite a bit cheaper than they are today... I still think they are well worth the money plus the after sales supprt has been first class... Setup has been fun i would say.. I have a DTA ECU and have a data stream from the ecu to the dash....

I think I will need to take the edge off the duct then pinstripe it with black... The nosecone does have some pretty bad gel cloat cracks due to something dropping in the nose so it will probably need painting anyway....

i have the exact same setup but with different engine. im struggling with the software/programming as im good with computers.i have dta s60 pro ecu,dash 2 and can interface!
what sensors were already on your engine? therefore being displayed by the can interface? cheers

I have the following...

Air Temp .... Supplied by DTA connected to the ECU then via Can to the dash
Water Temp Sensor .... Supplied by DTA connected to the ECU then via Can to the dash
Oil Pressure .... Supplied by ka then to the dash via Can
Fuel Pressure.... Supplied by ka connected to the ECU then to the dash via Can
Oil Temp .... Supplied by ka connected to the ECU then to the dash via Can
Throttle Position supplied by Jenvey connected to the ECU
Lambda .... LH1 into the ECU then to the dahs via Can. (Having problems with the reaction time for this.
Cam sensor... original from engine into the ECU
Crank sensor... original from the engine into the ECU
Speed Sensor... bought from ebay can't remember the source... connected direct to the dash.

I think that is it!

Is that a Caterham tunnel top?

Don't quote me, though I heard Mitsubishi shogun seatbelt mounting covers fit well.linky

The tunnel top I made myself..... with the exception of the sowing....

What does the cable feed on the wishbone?

The cable on the wishbone is the supply to the front side repeater.....

Can't quite see but looks as if there should be thread protruding from the nylock on the lower swivel / front wing mount.

Thats what I assumed, if so I think they can often fail when wing mounted, on 5degree reward visability splay.

seatbelt mounts needs covers

Is the bottom of the dash to the required 38mm, or is it padded? or has this changed in IVA from what was required in SVA. Nice build though. Cheers Ray

I have closed the underside of the dash off......

I have check side repeaters and they seem to be visible at 5 degrees....

Seat belt mountings need covering, suggest covers found on most tin tops will do the job, a bit of scrap yard foraging.

When you go to IVA take a box of different size edge trim, shrink wrap, silcon sealant, nut covers etc.
This gives you a chance to adress points of consern at the time.

Re belt covers.

There is a little tag either side of the cover. I have drilled a 3mm hole in each tag and looped a tie wrap through it.

Secure and looks great. There will be no need for it to drop of after iva.

I may be wrong but do you not need some kind of support for your head ?
Because your seat backs are low.

A system of head restraint must be fitted on every outboard front seat.

The seats are the standard Cobra high backs so should be ok......

Bugger I've fitted a 19mm tube to the bottom of my dash so I quess that will have to be padded then.
Although looking at other peoples photos theirs look to be a smaller radius than mine so I am confused. Bloody IVA,
could have had my car finished ages ago if it was not for the stupid projection rules and minor saftey crap and at far less cost. I do believe in structural safety/rigidity like the NZ test, as they crack test welds and inspect the car during the build up but rules such as not having a sharp edge on the exhaust outlet is a no no but okay to get 3rd degree burns from it.
