Cheap Subaru legacy FS
andyw7de - 13/12/10 at 12:35 PM

Ive got a 2001 (X) legacy estate 2.5 GX AWD that i purchased a couple of months
ago but the wife wont drive it in the snow because its automatic

Ive just had it serviced and fitted a new knock sensor to get rid of warning light on dash ( will need new rear pads soon )

It drives great and hasnt let me down in all the recent snow.

I can send out pics

car is in motherwell (home) / Whitburn (work)

Would sell for £1200 to LCB got it on PH for £1500

Tax march 2011 MOT July 2011

Cheap cheap car for someone

cheers

Andy

Is She Mad. We have one.

The wife can't fault ours.

I think it's possibly better in the snow than my old '75 Range Rover was.

Only thing that may help is ours has the VDC system and cheap tyres.

If it was not to the size I would have it for a runaround which I need.

I have a 1999 legacy estate too and it fantastic!!

Though mines the 280bhp twin turbo GTB, so it great fun in the snow!

car is now sold

1 hour 15 mins on PH and its gone

I've not gone away from subaru because they are just a fantastic car especially for this time of year, I've bought a 2007 legacy 2.0 estate which has been LPG'd by subaru but this one is manual so hopefully the wife will be happy to drive it.

That being said she's not been near this one as my jag hasnt moved for two weeks. Its sh*t even in a sharp frost

Jag work fine in the cold weather, you just have to get used to looking out the side windows more than the front window
