aerocatches which type?

Looking at fitting some aerocatches to my mk indy bonnet, there are two types that are suitable flush and plush flush, which type have people used on here on fibreglass bonnets?

Plus Flush are the ones that sit on top of the surface, so these are probably better unless you want to spend time neatening the cuts you make in the bonnet.
The flush ones are mounted on the underside so the cut out needs to be close to perfect.

And the thickness of the fiberglass must be similar to the depth of the lip on the catch, else it the catch will either be recessed or stand proud of the surface rather than being flush.

Indeed, allthough if it were to sit proud it would simple enough to add spaceing washers to bring flush, however if the thickness of the bonnet was more, there would be no simple way (other than removing thickness from the inside of the bonnet) to get it to sit flush.

I fitted the flush ones to the bonnet of my Mac#1 Worx, i'll post some photos later to show you how they look.

I fitted the flush ones to my bonnet. Took a long time to get the cuts perfect but looks really good.

Sikaflex'd on and going to fibreglass over the top for added safety.

I'm not too sure what to do at the front as I don't want another set but can't find an alternative at the mo.

Ive been pondering over these for a few months

I was planning on using the flush fitting and just sikaflexing in place, 2 with locks and 2 without was my plan

but I cant decide on the white or the carbon and the cost is a killer to hold the bonnet in place

Here are the photos I said I would post showing the Aerocatches I fitted to the bonnet of my Mac#1 Worx.

Marked out the hole locations, ready to be cut out

The rear of the bonnet/Aerocatch, the fibreglass has been ground away to thin the bonnet panel out allowing the Aerocatch to actually sit flush on the outside
