which battery?

I am building a Mini basedSylva Mojo, with a Honda B18C4 Vti engine, (approx 200 BHP) I have no idea what battery spec to go for.
I'm not too worried about weight, don't fancy spending lots of dosh on a red top battery. Can anyone please give me advice?

The starting loads on the battery aren’t really very high, I can easily start my JCB on a tiny car battery so long as its starts first time and since modern fuel injection engines fire up very quickly if not instantly, you can get away with small capacity ones. You’re after a battery with a good discharge rate but a low capacity. Doesn't matter what the lights need as the alternator is topping the battery up just as quick as it’s being used, well till belt snaps...

imo the donor’s standard battery would be a total overkill and a waste of money

I bought the smallest one they had in the motor factors, dunno what it's for but it's small. Has no problems starting our Zetec

Run the battery that Honda put in the bike the engine came from. My race Datsun on Webers used a snowmobile battery for 500cc 2 stroke.
