Possible Group Buy - ETB Instruments
adrianreeve - 4/2/11 at 05:36 PM

I'm in need of a set of gauges and looking to buy from ETB.

Thought I'd see if they would do a group buy discount, so just wanted to gauge if there was interest at the moment, and rough numbers so I can ring them and talk turkey!

Let me know what you think.

Cheers

Adrian

i will have some similar style gauges up for sale shortly, what style of gauge are you after? i have CIA speedo and rev counter and race tech, water temp, volt, oil pressure & fuel

Yes, I noticed that, too!

I might be up for a set from ETB, but only if the first figure is a 1

Reason is I'm still considering the Acewell 2859 which gives you electronic speedo & tacho, fuel gauge and all the IVA warning lights for £120 less 10% locost discount. Adding an oil pressure gauge & water temp gauge doesn't put that much on the price.

I'm not willing to pay £350 just for appearances sake, and I can't see why the cost difference between an electronic speedo and a mechanical one is almost the same as the entire Acewell unit!

There are plenty to be had at that sort of price, but not by me I'm afraid.

From tight-fisted git!

Omega, you have a u2u!

Rally design ones are cheaper, if we do a group buy from them then it would even be cheaper. ETB electronic guages are like £350. Whilst Rally design work out at about £250 with VAT. So would be cheaper for group buy so not too bad. Dont like the look of the acewells though. If we doing a group buy from Rally design, I would be definitely interested

I worked it out at around £290 + vat and delivery from RD, once you've added all the senders that don't come with the gauges, so it comes to £350 + delivery, unless I've done my maths wrong!

Cheers

For that money you could get a spa set, infact I could get a group buy for a good price.

adrianreeve - 4/2/11 at 08:01 PM

How much, and what could you get?!

Cheers

Adrian

I can get any of the spa instruments at about 12% off list.

So much for a nice new clean thread for a group buy.

I would be interested in a group buy of gauges. Please let me know what seems to be the best option.

There is a new Acewell Dash Unit, featured in the latest Rally Design catalogue, priced £164.50 plus vat including all senders,it has specifically been designed for the needs of the kit car industry and is about the right size. First 100 units coming into Rally Design next week,Scott at RD is the expert on this product...hope that helps.
