As per the subject really - seems the American recall has spread to the UK and Europe.........

Just seen the news, they are recalling the Aygo; does that mean that the 107 and C1 are being recalled as well?

The eight models recalled are the AYGO, iQ, Yaris, Auris, Corolla, Verso, Avensis and RAV4 and cover manufacturing dates going back to February 2005.

Il have to tell me mum she has an AYGO.

A work mate of mine has had his Avensis a few weeks the other day the throttle stuck on at 70 going towards stopped traffic hit the brakes and after a few seconds the throttle released.

scary stuff though.

At that time he rang Toyota who knew about the USA cars being faulty but not the UK seams they do now.

Apparently they have know of the issue since March 2007 but have been hiding behind the 'floor mat' excuse.

This aint going to do their 'quality' reputation any good at all.

got a 2007 avensis apparently its only th 2008 Avensis that has the problem
