MX5 Coolant Plumbing Diagram

Would anyone happen to have a diagram as to how they have plumbed in their MX5 engine?

Cheers

Ash

I don't have a diagram, but you might be able to figure out how I did mine from looking through my build photos:

HaynesRoadsterPart2

HaynesRoadsterPart3

EDIT:
Just realised this is in the MX5 section, so not sure if you're talking about MX5's or MX5 engines in sevens.

Here's a diagram of the OEM set up if that helps:

Thanks for the reply.

I did mean a MX5 engine in a 7 type car.

However, the picture has helped and given me some thoughts.

It might be worth searching for the coolant re route before you start.

Hi

My 1.8 MX5 in my 7 is plumbed as standard except:

The 2 pipes to the heater are connected together
The expansion tank is mounted on the scuttle in the engine bay connected by: Top outlet connecting via 1/2" pipe to the bleed pipe on top of the rad, the lower expansion tank outlet is connected into the Thermostat bypass pipe. I have also added a non pressurised expansion tank, as in the original MX5 setup. These engines do blow past the cap then suck it back when cool.
It has been like that for 3 years and has been fine, though I would caution taking time to beed the system fully.

Hope this helps, if you want to see mine I am not far away in West Yorks so U2U .
