These are coming to an end on March 31st. Read here
haha. I can see students just using pirated versions instead.... quite simple really...
It's an obvious sales pitch.
I suspect a new version will be out soon and student discounts will be available for the new version
Says it all towards the end
3. Alternative Products
Software4Students will introduce a new range of Microsoft Office and Windows 7 products that students and their parents will be able to buy at
discounted prices after this date.
I suspect too many people were getting the full office for £30 as it's really easy to get the discount (only requirement is to have a kid in
school)
Either they're going to bring out a crippled version (like the works package) or increase the costs/make it harder to qualify for the
discount.
OpenOffice/LibreOffice is pretty much as good as office for what 99% of home users want to do - i.e. write the occasional letter.

Looks legit, Microsoft have a pointer on their site. http://www.microsoft.com/uk/education/students/software4students/default.aspx
I bought from them a couple of weeks ago, quick service, deffo legit. Only problem was I bought the wrong thing. Thought I could upgrade from 32 bit
vista to 64 bit 7, turns out you can't!
So if anyone wants to buy an upgrade to 64 bit windows 7 professional, hasn't been activated, I'm selling for £30 posted.
Cheers
Adrian
you can do a fresh install
No you can't! It lets you do a clean install, then when you enter the product key, it tells you that you can't do a clean install with this
upgrade edition!
