I have sold my 7 series BMW at last and is being picked up tomorrow does anybody have any advice what to write on the receipt. The car was
checked over and driven by the new owner. Thanks.
Sorry for putting sold my 7 as title but it realy is a 7 and it got your attention
Sold As Seen normally covers it.
Also seen, No warranty given or implied.
These days though, Id be very suprised if anyone had grounds for comeback with a private sale, regardless of what is on the receipt.

I think that, assuming it is a private sale, there is no comeback fpr the buyer anyway, but it is just as well to get it in writing
How about putting the time on it as well??

Watch out for Sold as Seen. I remember it being on the Trading Standards web site about an adudication which concluded that Sold as Seen was
irrelevant even on a private sale.
You still have grounds for come back. There was a case of a trade sale where the consensus seemed to be that for a car two weeks is sufficient to spot
a serious defect in a car. I think this is also on the Trading Standards site. (or was a few years back).
You can put down sold as seen though as most people don't know about it and I don't think its a problem unless of course you are selling it
whilst hiding a known defect, which I doubt you are anyhows
If feeling really paranoid, put something along the lines of
Putting the time is a very good idea.
