bit off an off one but a friend has a 1995 Mondeo with a V6 badged as duratec.
Anyone shed light on if it the same as the newer V6's??

main reason to ask is that his PAS has given up and i wanted to see if the one off my 2.0 mondeo duratec would be the same??
or would it be liek the old Zetec one?? very hard to see it in the bay.

Probably a different pump from the 4 cylinder because it will be mounted differently ---- the v6 is squeezed in pretty tightly.

It's badged a Duratec as that's what it is.. The 4 Cylinder things stole the name

It wil be the SEA engine.

I cant remember where it mounts but it it may be the same pump.

It's basicaly the same eninge as the ones in all the V6 mondeos. Although later cars got a 3.0.

It's the same V6 as the Jag x-type and Ford Cougar.

it sits right up top underneath the top engine mount.

Most ford pumps look the same, most are the same. Just mounted in different configurations.

its cool, found to be the old zetec type, not sure what the new duratec engines are like, not even looked at the one i have lying about.
