As i'm not sure if my Pinto head has been converted to unleade it looks like I am goign to need to use an additivie to be on the safe side. Any reccomendations on best/cheapest to use?

Cheers

Dave

Millers is what I've used in my 2.1 Pinto since leaded fuel became unavailable.

I use Millers CVL in the single seater engine (pinto). This is supposed to be the pukka one but it is £8 a bottle and this only stretches to 20l :O

I understand Miller VSP is cheaper alternative if its not going to be under sustained high-load. Not sure on other brands.

I've used Millers VSP in my Kent engine for 7 years and had no problems; only road use though.

Why not check on the exhaust manifold side of the head to the rear of the number 4 spark plug for any stamped letters. These would be P, PP, R, RR, or L for an unleaded head. In addition any injection head with the egg/ cam lobe shaped inlet ports will be unleaded.
