TimC - 12/11/08 at 06:19 PM

Right folks, who's up for the third ever meet of the South Wales chapter of the Locostbuilders forum?

I understand that Rich Thomas has been extradited to face charges of sheep sha$$iing in East Anglia so that leaves..
Me
Lenny
Liam Mc
Fesycresy
Colin
Wyn?
+ anyone who's lurking and would like to join in.

Nutters from Cheshire welcome as ever also.

Any suggestions for dates & venues?

TC

Main question is Cardiff or Swansea I guess
Food?

What do you usually do, Its my first time

unless people particularly don't want to go that way??

Why not.

How about The Barn (J34 M4)

http://www.britishpubguide.com/pubs/100010.html

I think it plays host to the Gilbern Club sometimes and a few others.

It's opposite the VOSA SVA place if you want something to throw stones at!!

Pity our lethargy can't be overcome to the point where we organise something in the summer....
....as an open-top car club and all.

Hoping to get bail....might be able to make it depending when it is, need to visit at some point ,family stuff etc. - ewe know what I mean!!

Plus I need to give Lyn his camber gauge back!

ballcock - 16/11/08 at 05:15 PM

I could be up for that. any ideas on date etc.

TimC - 30/11/08 at 05:37 PM

What about Sunday 14th? I'm easy as to location. The Barn (Miskin), The Coach and Horses (Castleton) etc etc are all fine. Given that it's frosty though I think an open fire is a must.

For those who haven't been before, its usually just a drink and a chin-wag. If the consensus is that food or a night on the lash even would be better, I can do that too.

Litemoth - 4/12/08 at 06:37 PM

Aye, Sunday 14th's fine with me for a .........

Missus working on the 14th, but should be able to get the outlaws to look after the money suckers.

Castleton's good for me, seems in the middle, and I expect Colin will tag along.

Can't believe another year has gone by, doesn't seem that long ago were were sat in the pub talking shite and laughing at Steve worX.

cjtheman - 4/12/08 at 09:33 PM

yes i would be up for this year missed last year should be fun

aerosam - 8/12/08 at 04:10 PM

I'll pop along for swift one, so where is it? Miskin or Castleton?

liam.mccaffrey - 9/12/08 at 12:05 AM

is this still happening

cjtheman - 9/12/08 at 06:24 AM

come on tim let us know its getting close
where and when???????????lol
cheers
colin

TimC - 9/12/08 at 07:35 AM

Right, given that some are looking to come from 'down West' I suggest that the Barn in Miskin is probably fairer than Castleton? It means I'm travelling further too but there we go.

How do people feel about an early-sh meet? Say 11:30. I figure that this then gives people the afternoon to spend with families etc. I don't know why I've come over all caring - I really couldn't give a monkeys!

aerosam - 10/12/08 at 11:59 AM

Dont mean to throw a spanner in the works but according to the link above, the Barn doesnt open till 12 on Sundays.

TimC - 11/12/08 at 09:09 AM

Okay 12:00 it is, Add to the list..

Colin may not be able to make it either, he's got to work tomorrow morning.

Is it worth postponing ?

aerosam - 13/12/08 at 11:06 PM

i'm afraid i'll have to give it a miss too then, sorry guys but colin is the only guy i know on here. I could be within 6 feet of you all afternoon and still miss you.

Hang on till the 28th and i'll be around.....can give you back your camber gauge then too.........

TimC - 14/12/08 at 10:38 AM

Right chaps. Seems to make sense to knock this on the head. I've got Man Flu anyway so at least you won't get my germs.

fesycresy - 14/12/08 at 11:32 AM

28th is cool for me, it'll be good to catch up with Rich too.

TimC - 5/1/09 at 06:45 PM

The blokes on the Pistonheads South Wales forum have decided to meet on the 2nd Sunday of every month in Newport. We could pop along to that?

Starting Feb though as I'm away this weekend.
