Paid 4 months ago and still not a Registered Trader
Doctor Derek Doctors - 18/2/15 at 12:38 PM

I paid in full to become a registered trader in October 2014, 4 months on all that has happened is that I have now been changed to "Trader" but have this big banner at the bottom of my posts saying that I'm not a "registered trader" which does tend to make it look a bit unprofessional if I advertise things.

Can somebody get to the bottom of this and find out what is going on because 4 months is not really acceptable when my money has been taken.

Somebody has obviously taken the time to change the words under my name and add the banner so can somebody please take the time to provide the service that I have paid for.

Sorry for sounding frustrated but I am now quite frustrated.

I've 'reported' your post, so it should get the attention it deserves... hopefully

Unfortunately I don't have any access to the financial side of the site .
So I cannot see who pays what or when.

If you still have the paypal receipt email, send it to me, and I will see
if I can upgrade you manually ....

I've got U2U's in my outbox unread to you Fozzie and ChrisW,first one sent over a month ago.

This forum is lacking on the administration/moderator front for sure

Fozzie - 18/2/15 at 09:58 PM

I have one u2u from you Kev.
I have read and re-read the thread and can see no reason
to delete.

I cannot speak for ChrisW or any u2u's you may have sent him.

Doctor Derek Doctors - 19/2/15 at 09:04 AM

I have now sent off an e-mail with a PDF download of my paypal activity.

Yeah it was one I sent you, over a month ago.sent two to chris first one nearly two months ago.

I didn't say there was a reason to delete thread, but I started the thread, I've asked for it to be deleted, so surely if I want it deleted thats my choice?

No, this site does not work on that principle. If it was a purely 'chat' site, then, yes. This is a site which builds knowledge, and many use it as a reference point during their builds. If threads were deleted ad-hoc, then the knowledge base would in no time become disjointed and unusable.
Really you should only post your build experience if you are happy to share your 'journey' with the other members and future builders of this site.
This is, after all, the locost builders website.

I will happily 'close' the thread you want deleted if you so wish, please let me know.

Fozzie

Or can you allow me to edit older posts?

So I can re-add pics I've lost through Photo Bucket?

If not close it then please

Fozzie - 19/2/15 at 11:30 AM

Yes, I saw the photos were missing, such a shame!

If I can work out a way to open it specifically to you, to allow you to edit/add the photos
again (my back-room powers are limited), I will let you know.

However, if you now have the lost photos back in your archive, put them in a thread specific folder.
You could then add a post to the thread with a link to that particular folder.

So, before I close the thread please let me know if you want to add a link (if the photos have
been recovered).

Unfortunately this makes it worse. The site looks for a pattern of a users posts being reported as trade. When the criteria is met it automatically sets the user as unregistered.

Quinten - 2/3/15 at 02:42 PM

Oops, well, I won't be so "helpful" in the future then

Don't worry. People seem to press the 'report' button for fun. I get probably 75% false alarms which is why genuine reports take time to be dealt with.
