ZX12 Phoenix, won't start! please help!!

Nearly finished my ZX12 installation just the wiring to sort
Yesterday had it all connected, fuel pump would run via the ecu, had a spark but not getting fuel at injectors other than initial single pulse, so no go.

Today got fed up with all the extra wires so removed all ancillary wiring, now got no spark or fuel not even fuel pump running!!!

There is no power to white/red pin 51 fuel pump relay

Wires to ecu spare not connected:

red/green pin 19 (starter lock out)
light blue pin 23 (tacho)
Green/black pin 24 (junction box diodes)
Brown/red pin 33 (diagnostic)

I have resistor in grey wire,
Pale green pin 20 is earthed
Ecu relay is working

I don't have any original clocks etc.

Any help would be gratefully received

Is probably worth giving Andy Bates a call in the morning, he's a genius with the BEC wiring....

Getting somewhere

Connected Green/Black to earth got fuel pump and spark back, but still no go.

Going to try new cam sensor in morning.

Still won't start

Have a good spark

Injectors fire once all together when starter engaged, but after that nothing.

Changed the cam sensor, still the same

Any ideas?

probably nothing to do with it, but Ive seen bikes and trikes do this with the ignition system when they have fitted a turn key start

have you deffo go a live feed to the injectors when its in the cranking position? I assume they need a live feed, never worked on fuel injection

just a thought, most ignitions I have bought were fine, but someone once came to me to have a trike rewired as it only fired when the starter was turning, turned out that the live supply to the ecu was only live when the key was in the start position, but as he had sparks when cranking he just assumed it was ok??

What trigger wheel are you running? I've found if you're using an n-1 wheel on a bike engine certain ECU's are very susceptible to cranking speed variations and therefore a low battery voltage. All seems to work fine until cranking, when it does nothing. Successful jumping from a running car identifies this.

Having spoken to Andy Bates it now runs, phew!!
I needed to alter the position of the cam sensor trigger wheel.

So a big thank you to Andy, he certainly knows his way round bike engines.

I'm back out to the garage to get some more of that ZX12 induction roar :-)

Can anyone recommend a rolling road that specialises in BEC's in the south west?

There are probably some nearer but the nearest DynoJet (i.e. Power Commander) approved centres are PDQ in Slough and HLM in Bromsgrove. I've used both and would be happy to go to either again.
