Hoping someone can help me with this...

When in gear, with engine off, do you get a lot of slack in the gearbox?

If I get the engine in gear, 1st or 2nd, I can rotate the propshat about 1,5cm without any effort until it locks.

The prop is disconnected from the diff side at the moment and it's a 5pw R1 engine.

should be ok then...

That is completely normal for a motorcycle dog box.
