Fireblade 919 clutch
Hitchen92 - 3/7/19 at 06:48 PM

Had to change the gear shaft selector on the fireblade due to it being bent so had to take the whole clutch out to get at it.

It’s all been put back together but the clutch now doesn’t seem to work, any ideas as to why?

Assuming it is similar to a 954 clutch, is the actuator pin (that the cable attaches to) connected to the release pin in the centre of the clutch? I found it quite tricky to get them to engage and stay connected while getting the cover back on.

If you need to take the cover/casing off, you should be able to do it without dropping the oil by jacking the front end of the car up.

Will give it a try tomorrow...

Is the centre part of the clutch meant to spin freely (separate to the outer casing?)...

That's the part I was trying to explain.

It's the same as above, you have to fit the cover with the arm open and snag the pin and use this to lever the cover into place then do up the bolts.
