Pedal travel

How much clutch pedal travel do you have? Latest build is R1 powered, hydraulic clutch for daily driver, I know not a good choice. Having problems getting a smooth start without lots of rpm's or almost killing it. suggestions?

Would normally aim for at least 70mm. Obviously the first 10mm or so of that will be 'dead' (does nothing).

You may need a smaller master cylinder or an adjustment of the pedal arm itself to change ratio.

I Changed the pivot point per your suggestion so I would have approximate 70mm pedal travel, had 45mm before. Test drove felt much better than seal on cylinder started leaking. My luck.

Replaced the leaking slave cylinder. Changing the pedal travel ratio from 45mm to approx. 70 has made a huge difference in drivability. Bad part though, wife has tried it and likes it also. Maybe if I promise to do the dishes and vacuum the carpets she'll let me drive once in a while.
