oadamo- i think its to improve the response of the slider?

can anyone provide more info?

the jet that you block feeds air into the needle jet. What I think it does is lean the fuel off at high revs / full throttle whilst keeping the fuel rate up at mid revs. This is to match the restriction in airflow caused by the exhaust / airbox at high flow rates. When you fit freer flowing parts to your engine, you want a more linear fuel flow so you block up the hole.

would this still be a good idea in a bike engined mini?
as the air flow isnt as good as a 7 type vehicle
z cars recommend 128 main jets perhaps because lack of air flow?

should i think about some ram air?

my R1 engine came with 130 mains as standard. If you're having to fit 128s then you have a problem that ram air isn't going to fix. (especially as you have to get up some serious speed for ram air to do anything).
